A Healthy Twist on a Fave!

We don’t do a lot of juice in my house.
 
It’s filled with sugar (usually even more ADDED sugar, bc America 🤦🏼‍♀️) , zero fiber, and minimal nutritional benefit. IF I give juice to the kids, I water it down.

But this Ginger Echinacea Lemonade from @traderjoes has been a huge favorite for me. It’s 100% juice, and definitely high in sugar, but damn it tastes SO GOOD. It’s very ginger heavy which can be a polarizing flavor but it’s  one I personally love!

The thing is, ginger and echinacea are both power hitters in the natural healing world, making this “juice” loaded with health benefits.

Ginger: 
  • Lowers inflammation
  • Eases digestion
  • Stimulates circulation
  • Boosts immunity 
  • Increases focus
  • Soothes muscle pain (goodbye period cramps!!!)

Echinacea: 
  • Boosts immunity 
  • Regulates blood sugar
  • Lowers anxiety 🙌

It’s safe to say this lemonade ain’t just juice.

Plus, it mixes REALLY well with vodka OR tequila 😏

So that’s it, there’s  your recipe 😂 I’m a little behind on the quarantine cocktail trend but seriously, this one is the one!  I’m not a good cook but I was a bartender for years so you can take my word for it. Add some blueberries as a little superfood garnish and BAM—healthy-ish cocktail 😂🤣🍹
